At this year's Art Basel our booth will be divided into two groups: major modern masters of the Twentieth Century and a comprehensive selection from our contemporary program. We are including an important work by Fernand Leger from 1922 of a woman combing her hair in a purist interior. We are also offering a rare work by Joan Miró, a monumental painted wall hanging bearing the artist's own title "Sobreteixim" and which directly relates to the work from the same series hanging in the National Gallery in Washington, D.C. We will be presenting a work on paper by Mark Rothko from 1957, a suite of prints from the 1960s pop series by Roy Lichtenstein and a classic black and white work from 1955 by the abstract painter Franz Kline as well as two early works by Andy Warhol from 1964, one an iconic painting from his Electric Chair series, the other a silkscreen on paper from the Race Riot series. We will also have a vintage modernist painting from the 1950s by Alexander Liberman and some classic bronze sculptures by Jean Arp. All the current artists from our Chelsea gallery will be featured. There will be work by British sculptor Anthony Caro, American sculptor Jessica Stockholder, the American painters Chris Martin, Enoc Perez, Natalie Frank, and the political activist and feminist artist Martha Rosler, who is featured at Documenta in Kassel as well as the renowned photographer Justine Kurland. We look forward to seeing you in Basel.
