Patricia Satterwhite (American, 1950–2016) was a self-taught, multidisciplinary artist, whose three-decade practice includes schematic drawings, songwriting, and recorded music. During her most prolific years, she managed a mental health diagnosis that eventually rendered her homebound. This is reflected in the themes of ritual, healing, love, and world-weariness that permeate her work. Often featured alongside her son, artist Jacolby Satterwhite, she has exhibited internationally.
