Thursday 11 February OGR Cult inaugurates the "Cut a rug a round square" exhibition curated by the American artist Jessica Stockholder with works from two important international philanthropic collections: the "la Caixa" Contemporary Art Collection in Barcelona, one of the most prestigious collections of banking origin, and that of the Foundation for Modern and Contemporary Art CRT , whose works are on permanent loan at the Turin museums of GAM - Gallery of Modern Art and Castello di Rivoli, Museum of Contemporary Art.
Cut a rug a round square is a unique opportunity for the public to admire - safely and for free- in the spaces of the OGR, a treasure guarded by the Turin museums and enriched over the years by the CRT Foundation, through the original reinterpretation of a great international artist and with connections and grafts of works from another important collection.
The exhibition, inviting the visitor to get lost in a world of shapes and colors, starts from the theme of painting , central to both collections and among the most discussed and loved by the general public, to redesign the boundaries of this discipline and develop a discourse which takes, from the forms and phantasmagorias of painting, the keys of interpretation to analyze the contemporary world.
